Checking account fees: "FAIR Checking" (the basic checking account) has a $7.50 monthly fee, but is waived if you meet any of the following criteria: Direct Deposit, $500 minimum average balance, 15 monthly debit purchase transactions, or are 25 years and younger or 60 years and older. "Simply Smarter" (advanced checking) has a $10 monthly fee, but is waived with the following criteria: $7,500 combined deposit and/or loan balance, or $1,000 in savings and checking.
