Overdraft fees:
Self-Help does not overdraft debit cards so you will not be hit with $35 fees like at some banks. If there is not enough money in your account, your debit card will simply not allow the transaction. There is no fee when this happens. For written checks, Self-Help offers overdraft protection, linking your checking account to a savings account. If you do don't have enough money in your checking account to cover a check, Self-Help will pull the money over from your savings account, through overdraft protection. There is a $1.50 fee for this.
